Aileen grew up in South Africa, moved to Canada and now calls Raleigh home. She was recruited to play Division 1 basketball at Auburn University, then transferred to Northern Illinois University to finish out her basketball career. After undergrad, she began coaching basketball at Meredith College in Raleigh. During this time, she gained her second degree in Exercise Science as well as a teaching certification and licensure in Physical Education. She also completed a Master’s degree in Sport and Exercise Psychology and is now working on a Doctoral degree in Kinesiology. She currently works as a healthful living teacher for Wake county. She got into Kickboxing later in life and became fascinated by the science, body mechanics and overall workout benefits of the sport. Aileen has had a few amateur fights in both kickboxing and boxing and participated in local point tournaments as well. She has trained with Head Coach Marcus Davis for years. Her love for all things fitness, boxing and MMA make her classes a blast for all members of Fight Flow Academy.
